Data Deletion Instructions
This page explains how to remove your personal data from QueueIn, the queue management platform used by the restaurants, clinics, cafés, events and other establishments ("Businesses") whose queues you have joined. Use this page if you have ever shared your name or phone number with QueueIn — for example by joining a queue, opting in to WhatsApp notifications, or signing up for a Business's VIP / loyalty list.
DELETE-MY-DATA and the details listed in section 3.
1. What auto-deletes (no action needed)
| Data | When it goes away |
|---|---|
| Your name and phone number from a non-VIP queue entry | Automatically minimised — replaced with empty / null values — within approximately 24 hours after the queue ends. |
| Your party size and queue number | Auto-minimised together with the rest of the queue entry within ~24 hours. |
| Browser push / device notification token | Cleared shortly after the queue entry becomes inactive. |
| WhatsApp deep-link session | Cleared with the queue entry; any further WhatsApp messages require a new opt-in. |
If you only joined one queue and did not opt in to a VIP list, the auto-cleanup will remove your personal data on its own. You do not need to email anyone.
2. WhatsApp / Messenger opt-out
If you opted in to WhatsApp notifications (for example by ticking the WhatsApp box, scanning a QR code, or sending us a starting message), you can stop receiving messages at any time by:
- Replying
STOP(orUNSUBSCRIBE,CANCEL,BERHENTI) to any WhatsApp message we send you. - Blocking the QueueIn WhatsApp number from your phone.
- Emailing us using the instructions in section 3 below.
Opting out stops further messages and removes your WhatsApp opt-in record from our system, except for a minimal record kept as proof that you opted out (for compliance).
3. How to request full deletion
Use this if you joined a Business's VIP / loyalty list, if you want your historical queue records actively scrubbed, or if the auto-cleanup window has not yet elapsed and you want us to act now rather than wait.
- Email dk.queuein@gmail.com.
-
Use the subject line:
DELETE-MY-DATA. -
Include the following so we can find your records:
- The full name on record.
- The mobile phone number you used (Malaysian format, e.g.
+60 12‑345‑6789). - If you remember it: the name of the Business or establishment whose queue you joined, and an approximate date of visit.
- Whether you also want your VIP / loyalty list entry removed (if you signed up).
- We will acknowledge your request within 7 days. Records you ask us to delete are soft-deleted immediately, and are then permanently purged from our systems within 30 days of soft-deletion.
4. What gets deleted vs. what we keep
| Data | Action on deletion request |
|---|---|
| Your name, phone number, party size on queue entries | Deleted (soft-deleted immediately, hard-purged within 30 days). |
| VIP / loyalty list entry with the Business you signed up with | Deleted on request. |
| WhatsApp opt-in record | Deleted, except a minimal opt-out marker we keep as proof. |
| PDPA consent receipts (the record that you ticked the consent box at the time) | Retained for as long as required to demonstrate compliance with PDPA. |
| Security and audit logs (sign-in attempts, abuse signals, breach evidence) | Retained for the period required for security or legal purposes. Routine logs are deleted on a short rolling cycle. |
| Aggregated, de-identified statistics (e.g. average wait times) | Retained — these no longer identify you. |
This mirrors section 9 of the Privacy Policy, which has the full retention table.
5. Alternative: ask the Business directly
Each Business that uses QueueIn can also remove customer records from its own dashboard. If you remember which Business you joined, you can simply ask their staff to delete your record and they will be able to do so. Either route — emailing us, or asking the Business — works.
6. Need help?
If you are not sure whether you have data with us, or your deletion request is not acknowledged within 7 days, contact us at dk.queuein@gmail.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Commissioner of Malaysia under PDPA.
